How-To Guide
Local Organizing: The Home Front, Get the Word Out

The first thing for local organizers to do is to get the word out about NetDay. Find out who else is interested - make phone calls, make an announcement at a PTA meeting, or send out a notice in the school newsletter.

Librarians are often some of the biggest supporters of NetDay, because they have a vested interest in bringing Internet technology to their schools. In the upper grades, the same goes for teachers of science, social studies, art, and other subjects, but particularly for teachers who run computer labs. And don't forget students - their enthusiasm alone can get a school's NetDay plans off the ground.

Teachers, parents, and others will undoubtedly have questions and concerns about why and how NetDay will be implemented. See our answers to the toughest questions.
