NetDay Student Voices

In 2003, NetDay conducted focus groups in our communities to find out what students think about technology. We found students everywhere who are active and innovative users of the Internet and technology for learning, socializing, playing, and organizing their lives. Their insights led NetDay to launch Speak Up Day on October 29, 2003 to provide every student in every school in the country with the opportunity to share their ideas about education and technology.

The results of the focus groups and surveys have been contributed to the National Education Technology Plan (NETP) of the U.S. Department of Education. NetDay Student Voices will continue to help our nation’s students turn good ideas into meaningful change in their schools and communities.
